Manjiri has a special talent for writing Marathi words on the tunes of popular Urdu Gazals or Hindi words on the tunes of popular Marathi songs. With her new venture of learning Bengali, she now writes Hindi, Urdu words on Bengali songs as well. What’s more, the words are written in the same meter and bear the same meaning. She captivates the audiences with such renditions under the name of 'Aashna' which is also the title of her book of Urdu Shayari translated into Marathi couplets.
